MANGROVE JACK FRENZY!!

Hey peps! Assalamualaikum…Yesterday we went hunting again and went to the famous UNGAH GARDEN in Serasa.. As before today, we heard that there was a Mangrove Jack party as 7 mangrove jacks were caught. I had a *hunch* that yesterday might be our lucky day… hehehe…

As usual we went to look for kembura baits. At that time the kembura were sold $3/kilo.. the last time I went there, the kembura were sold at $2/kilo.. well what the heck, fishing punya pasal, hantam saja lah…

We set up our gears, me and my faithful companion GFADZ aka MR WHITERABBIT and with the help of my brother in law.. Again we were lucky as no sights of “THE MAGROVE JACK’S PREDATOR” aka Hj Metali was hunting.. hehehe… maybe ia “off” yesterday.. We set up our rods and kirikans at the usual spot.. according to the tide tables today air nya surut.. We waited for half an hour and *bang* , our first catch was caught by me.. well technically it was my kirikan but it was gfadz and my brother in law who reeled it in… To my surprise, my long awaited catch, THE MANGROVE JACK was caught!! Wow my bad luck curse had broke.. hehehe… it was my first MJ this year..alhamdullilah.. it weighs around 1.6kg.. Thanx guys for the help! Hehehe…


Gfadz steps into gear as he believe there’s more MJs out there… well his prayers were answered… hehehe… he too caught his MJ with his kirikan… if I’m not mistaken I think it weighs around 1.2kg… we were leveled at this stage.. hehehe..

My brother in law too have a bite using his rod and his casting technique but his line broke at the very last minute.. pity though for him as his rapala was taken by the fish.. better luck next time bro.. karang balik beli kirikan arah huaho.. hehehe…

Again it was gfadz who had the third catch and this time it was bigger than the first one… a 2.2kg MJ .. *DaRN* lucky him! Hehehe.. the forth catch was also by gfadz… I think its about 1.5kg kah… *double darn*.. again with his kirikan… I think I better auction his kirikan in EBAY… hahaha..

We decided to pack it up around 12 when again MJ struck in the very last minute… and again its gfadz *arghh* bah jadi kan di jual kirikan atu ke EBAY? Hahaha.. This time the MJ weighs around 1.6kg kah.

As I thought it was the last MJ we caught, my kirikan was pulled into action.. and this time I did get my chance to pulled the MJ myself… hehehe… my 2nd MJ weighs around 1.4kg.. an injury time catch.. Well I guess I’m the first and the last to caught the MJs… *alhamdullilah.. rezeki…* what a SUPERB Experience we had yesterday… not to mention the fun and thrill… oh yes.. I forget to mention, GFADZ and my brother in law got minor injuries during the action…

I did get in touch with saidi(the person who subbed us), he told me from morning till afternoon, 16 MJs were caught… wow I guess it’s a record or maybe there’s another record, but then it is a SUBERB experience… hehehe ... until next tym peps!! maju memancing untuk negara!! hahaha






p/s: measurements might not be accurate lah... and oh yess... jgn jeles team kerisi... hehehe walaupun ada yang nada setuju kami masuk ranking... (Siapa tu ah...) sal kami pakai kirikan, tapi boleh eh kami masuk ranking, sal kami bukan main EDIT... hehehe *ehem ehem* we follow the rules jua... hahahaha...

THE HUNT CONTINUES....

As usual our hunt for the BARAMUDDI continues. This tym our chosen fishing spot was "The famous Ungah Garden" at Serasa Beach.

We head out to Pantai Serasa around 8 in the morning. For the first time we reach there before the so called "Mangrove Jack's Predator". hehehe...selalunya ia yang awal tu... maaf zahir dan batin Pakcik.... Tok Kerisi and gbirin was the first team to hunt followed by me,gfadz and gazwan.. According to the tide table, air nya baru naik 'pasang'.. which is a good but not the best time..

Tok kerisi's rod was pulled into action, his first fight which eventually made his rod bend... we were left speechless and hoping that he will lose the fight...hehehe... (kalau ia naikan ikan, gerenti riuh abis... hehehe... naik tia ranking nya.. that's y...) and yes our prayers were answered.. tesangkut tia... hehehe.. sabar saja.. he did uses all his skills untuk menaikkan ikan atu but then none are effectives, tegelincir ada pulang.. he got himself injured tah pulang..

In a short while it was my turn and i reel n reeled n reel an i can see a glimpse of the fish but unfortunately my knot failed me.. (gerenti ada org mendoakan ni supaya telepas jua..hehehe or kana sabotage..hmmm!)...i do need to revise my knots technique..well it's not my lucky day that day...

BUT NOT for gfadz aka mr whiterabbit... he's rod was made bend and he immediately reel it in but the fish wouldn't give it up so easily,bawa nya ke batu, but gfadz showed great enthusiasm and "pemajal" spirit... hehehe.. he eventually reeled in his catch, a grouper (Kerapu) weighs around 1.3kg.. we all taught it was the mangrove jack.. well done and good catch!

We waited until 11am but then it was the only catch for that day... although we had a few nudges but none of us caught any fish EXCEPT FOR GFADZ... (bereset dah ranking tadi but still he's still top of the ranks)... congrats gfadz!!. until the next trip... beware barramudi!!

KUALA TUTONG "OPEN HOUSE" FISHING.

Assalamualaikum n Selamat Hari Raya to all geng2 Aerotels fishing club, visitors to our websites and to our member affiliates, Lumut anglers,fish buster crew and brunei fishing team .. well this is the first fishing adventure since Ramadhan.. lega rasa nya selepas sebulan berpuasa from fishing.. hehehe...

For our first outing we choose to fish at Kuala Tutong today... We started around 8ish arah Kuala Tutong and waited for an hour but no one got the first catch.. iski udah kan mengail ani...ada datang with their new "hari raya" fishing rod... sapa tu ah.. long nose plier pun baru.. hehe.. So we decided to change our location to takat g rashid our usual fishing spot at kuala tutong, around 9ish to try our luck and wait and wait and wait around 11ish, ibrahim also known as Tok kerisi caught his first fish which was the usual culprit ikan "oggy rashid" the ketambak. hehehe. Then it was gfadz aka mr whiterabbit's luck caught his first fish and also the same culprit. Tok kerisi's luck was on "heng" today as he caught his second catch the ketambak again. hehehe. I did caught a couple of fish.. besar berabis.. hehehe.... ;) *undisclosure catch*

PANTAI LUMUT FISHING SPOT UNVEILED

A'ssalamualaikum teman-teman sekalian dan selamat berpuasa. Pada minggu lepas Scouts Aerotels Fishing Club telah membuat tinjauan ke Pantai Lumut.Banyak cerita telah di khabarkan tentang tertewasnya ikan siakap dan ikan siakap merah di sana. Tempat nya di Pantai Lumut. Kalau kan mau shortcut, masuk saja arah simpang 349 dan jalan terus saja.

Ketika di sana,saya sempat menemu bual salah seorang pemancing local dari Lumut. Beliau mencerita kan perihal ikan-ikan yang pernah di tewas kan di sana, Ikan selungsong, Ikan ungah, san pan tiau (lurus kah jua tu namanya) dan Ikan Kerapu. Beliau jua memberitahu saya yang di sana juga pernah kelihatan buaya dan penyu. Beliau juga menceritakan tentang joran nya yang patah di sambar ikan akibat terlupa untuk melonggarkan lock reel beliau. Dahsyat tu.... apa lagi, kacang... bila ke mencuba di sana? hehehe..

2ND AEROTELS FISHING COMPETITION

Assalamulaikum teman teman kaki pancing. Sekali lagi Aerotels fishing club telah mengadakan pertandingan memancing kali ke 2 pada 7hb September 2007 bertempat di pantai serasa.

Sebelum itu kita ucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada yang telah membantu menjayakan pertandingan ini, support unit , Aerony. Hehehe dan juga kepada main chicken sponsor, Sharine dan dzulshahrine, co-sponsor tempat penyelaian.

Penyertaan pada pertandingan kali ke 2 ini agak menggalakan dari yang sebelumnya, seramai 15 orang peserta yang turut bertanding termasuk peyertaan dari peserta jemputan RTT dan AIS.Walaupun terpaksa berpanas di bawah matahari, namun ayam bbq nya "BETUL BETUL HO LIAO!!"

1. SETIAP PENYERTAAN DI KEHENDAKI UNTUK MEMBAYAR BND$6.00

2. SETIAP PESERTA HANYA DI BENARKAN MENGGUNAKAN JORAN DAN SPOOL (COMPLETE FISHING ROD). KIRIKAN,BULUH, JORAN ELEKTRIK DAN SEBAGAINYA YANG SELAIN DARI COMPLETE FISHING ROD TIDAK DI BENARKAN UNTUK PERTANDINGAN INI.

3. SETIAP PESERTA HANYA DI BENARKAN MENDAFTAR SATU JORAN UNTUK PERTANDINGAN. TETAPI SEKIRANYA ADA DI ANTARA PESERTA YANG INGIN MENGGUNAKAN LEBIH DARI SATU JORAN, PESERTA ITU DI KEHENDAKI UNTUK MEMBAYAR $1.50 SETIAP JORAN EXTRA YANG DI GUNAKAN UNTUK PERTANDINGAN.

1ST AEROTELS FISHING COMPETITION

Assalamulaikum teman2 kaki pancing AEROTELS. Terlebih dahulu kami inigin mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada semua peserta2 yang meyertai pertandingan memancing Aerotels yang telah kami ada kan pada 31hb Ogos 2007 bertempat di Pantai Tungku. Sambutan memang mengalakkan.. Kami juga ingin mengucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada sponsor2 kami , Sharine (yang sponsor Ayam untuk di panggang sama membawa kem untuk tani bertaduh) , Dzulshahrin dan Latif (yang meminjamkan alat pemanggang ayam!!.. kalau durang nada meminjam kan, nada 'ON', meskipun ada yang meminta sewa dan meminta video.. hehehe) dan Ibrahim (yang sponsor nasi bungkus)... Terima kasih sekali lagi... lain kali buat lagi... hehehe..

Kami ingin mengucapkan tahniah kepada pemenangnya, Hj Mohd, dari RTT Section. Seramai 12 orang peserta yang mengikuti peraduan memancing pada hari tersebut, masing2 dengan Joran favourite dan joran TERMAHAL bisdurang. hehehe. Kaki2 pancing dari RTT dan AIC pun ada turut serta... Walaupun ianya satu pertandingan yang amat mencabar di dalam cuaca yang sangat panas, namun kemeriahan nampak terlihat pada kesemua peserta..

Kepada peserta2 yang tidak menang, kami harap biskita inda berputus asa. Cuba lagi di pertandingan yang akan datang. Pada yang menang kami berharap agar dapat mempertahankan gelaran JUARA di pertandingan yang akan datang.
